My husband Willie and I moved into Great Oak in early October of 2003, about a week before our wedding. We had previously lived in the student housing co-ops at the University of Michigan for a number of years. After living by ourselves in an apartment for a few years after the co-ops, we were looking for the community that the neighborhood we were in lacked. We were thrilled to find a living situation which seemed to have the best of both worlds (our own home with our own kitchen but with a close knit neighborhood and a common house with communal dinners). So we jumped right in and agreed to buy our first home.
I currently work at the People's Food Co-op while I figure out what I want to be when I grow up. We are planning on starting a family in the near future.
I enjoy reading, gardening, cooking, eating dark chocolate, and holding other people's babies.
