My family of five+ has been living at Great Oak since August 2003. My partner Malcolm and I have three girls, Uma, Melanie, and Linnea. My dad, Carl, who is in his mid-80's, is a frequent visitor. We also have a dog, two parakeets, and four gerbils.
Our family lived in Ann Arbor on Brooks St. prior to the move to Great Oak. I previously lived at Sunward Cohousing, on Ann Arbor's Old West Side, and in the distant past lived in Chicago, Ithaca NY, Vancouver BC, Cleveland OH, and Vermont. I've also lived in France and England.
In addition to time spent with family, friends, and community, I work at the University of Michigan as Director of the Exhibit Museum of Natural History. Previously I worked for the Ann Arbor Summer Festival and the Art Institute of Chicago.
I enjoy reading, walking, visiting museums and other cultural institutions, and seeing movies.
