*possible one-day loan of the ping-pong table to Touchstone
*planning for trial of acid stain on the CH concrete
*reviewing work jobs for next season and what needs to be communicated.
*starting the budgeting brainstorming
* review policy for public events held at GO (ie, the recent concerts).
* spice rack

Minutes:

Ping Pong Table Loan
Touchstone asked whether or not they could borrow our ping pong table
next Saturday for a party. They want to actually take it over to
their site. The committee talked, and we are all concerned about the
health of the ping pong table. We don't think it is in good enough
condition to be loaned out. Plus, we are uncomfortable loaning out
equipment that will leave GO without having a community policy about it.

Decision: We will not loan out the table, but will let Touchstone
know that they can come here and use it (and encourage them to
reserve the room to do it)

Acid Stain for concrete
Laura and Keith are going to try and test it later today. The test
will also provide info on whether or not we want to do 2 colors. We
looked in the reservation book, and the first weekend where there is
nothing scheduled is Oct 6-8. We have booked this. There will be no
foyer access during this time. Please be advised.

Review of CH Jobs
Just did a quick run through. Laura will contact all the cleaners.
Becky will contact Katie for info on the shopping position.

Quick update on Money
Between the operating and fundraising 'improvements' line items, we
have about 1500. We just prioritezed the guest room and the
concrete. Talked that the media room is the next priority and we'll
look at what is left. Then we'll add it to the budget process.
There is currently just over $200 in the Kids room fund.

Meals asking for ok to add improvements to Kitchen and Pantry.
They are still in the info seeking and planning stages. But at this
point, would like the ok from us on the idea. Meals is planning to
do a fundraiser to cover the costs. DECISION: we are ok with meals
building a spice rack between the range top and the window. Also ok
with them improving the pantry. DECISION: we will kick in up to
$100 to help, with the money coming from our Fundraising account.

Other common house improvements wish list: at some point, replace
the carpeting in the sitting room with something much nicer, that
won't show the dirt as much, and it more durable.

Talked at length about our policy for members of other communities
reserving rooms, and what if we want to change the policy for events
that charge admission, or if we even want to allow events that charge
and are open to the public. This is a complex issue. We are going
to dicsuss more, and then draw up something to bring before the
community for more discussion. Feedback from the community is
encouraged throughout this discussion.
