Construction update
No insulation between exercise room and sitting room.
Framing
[[Elph]] described the issue around window framing. Windows are sunk into exterior walls. In Katie's spec, the drywall has to be joined at a corner, but Kirk thinks this will result in low quality drywall work, worried about cracking, poor-quality corners. So we can (1) leave it per Katie (mud will crack) (2) add wood casing/trim (expensive), or (3) put on metal corner pieces and mud over it. (3) will look good, save us money. [[Committee]] agrees to do (3). We will get a figure from Kirk as to how much money this will save.

Looks like no instahot got put in. We need that.
Some drywalling got done around fireplace that needs to come out for the installation
Fireplace isn't here yet but Kirk is expecting.
Tub hasn't been replaced yet but Kirk has found one.

Ask JD about using the common house on Saturday Jan 31st afternoon for Landscape meeting.

Cabinet guy meeting probably beginning of January.

Melisa is willing to work on the window coverings, Laura will help.
Perhaps make use of the room honchos for ideas as well.


Preparing for painting
First to second week of January.
Have a work day?
Is it possible to do only the priming and do the painting later?
When will the tektum be going in? We may not have to paint it?

Task lists:
Tell people on a work day and other days around it.
Make a Quicksheet on how to paint.
Avoid bad tape at all cost.
Get a skills survey of people and their ability to teach others to paint.
Do an equipment survey, especially sprayers.
Buy the paint and tape.
Estimate paint quantity.


Game room size as pertains to pool/ping pong tables.
[[Jenny]] is interested in remeasuring the game room for the tables.


What is the timeline for doing the fireplace surround.
After painting?
Who is going to do the tiling? Can we find a volunteer within the cmty?
Do we need to pay someone? Do we use the same contractor as doing the tile?
We will need to do a diagram of the layout after the fireplace goes in.

Laura and I looked at the plans. Looks like there are two porch lights on the walls to either side of the door, none on the pergola itself. I think Wayne had more lighting in the original plans, but Katie simplified it.This seems like a missed opportunity to me, but it's the way things are. I'll talk with grounds about whether we want to pursue the idea of adding lights further--maybe it's a good idea to wait until the CH is actually lit and see whether it's enough.
