Common House [[Committee]] Minutes July 19th, 11am.
(Amended with [[Jenny]] comment at end)

Check-ins
Washer and Dryer

A number of people are willing to host the washer and dryer.
How to pay for it? Get an advance on our money from CDC.
There is no gas in the basements - we'll have to run it. Is there enough capacity? [[Jenny]] will check on that.
Finalize our choice - Whirlpool seems the best choice but checking with Nancy.
Compensating people will be by way of assuring the gas lines get run.
Choose households that want a future washer/dryer.

General Use Policy

Rouch policy discussed and changes noted by Melisa
Task holiday decoration policy to Fun Cmtee.
Melisa will tweak and will post.

Review Office Rates
They are in line with market prices at 20/sq ft per year.
We could potentially charge more - up to 30/sq ft and still be in market rates. We could charge less to get more people into offices. 20 is in the middle - nice happy medium.

Budget things
Painting every few years?
Money for replacing small or large appliances?
A small pool of money for replacement and upkeep?
Cleaning supplies?

Update on Flatware

Melissa was not able to buy two more sets of flatware to augment our 7 sets. But the two more sets are going to be $20 more apiece. Should we do it? Yes.

The $3 chair was on exhibit and tried by a few butts. Nice looking. Comfortable. Not stackable. Would take about 90 sq ft of storage space or 45 linear feet. Too much. We could sell them at our first garage sale. People might like them as office chair or childrens room chair.

[[Jenny]] felt we *might* use them in the short-term, before we buy our perfect stackable chairs. Storage/stackability is obviously an issue for the long-term, but in the short-term we could easily stack 18x4 on one long wall in the dining room (2 rows of 36 chairs each).
