Finance:

Finance is fine with us giving low/med/high price for a total CH furnishing budget rather than room by room.

We need to be thinking in the long term about our $.

We need in the short term to be thinking about our contingency requirement.

F&L wants us to have three bids for the CH as a whole, Low/Medium/High.

[[Rod]] suggests that we put a room by room list on the Wiki site, that will include the prices for each room. $ amounts attached to each element.

Monkey: [[Rod]] will ensure that a spreadsheet is added to the Wiki site.

Dale suggests that we might need to have more specifics so that there is more flexibility to choose from. We will return to this item when we have all of our information gathered.

Amy & Mel...™s Toledo trip:

Amy & Mel went to Toledo to look for ...bargain... tables. Nothing matched, and they were not impressed. It looks as if it was a dead-end.

Dale...™s cabinet maker friend suggested that we make our own tables, as he can...™t touch the cost of ...store-bought.... Dale...™s friend mentioned an option where you can get semi-custom tables built ... you bring the dimensions and they make it. Dale suggested that we look into using Sunward...™s workshop to build tabletops for both Great Oak and Sunward (Sunward wants new tables). Ted also talked to a friend of his who makes furniture, and he said that he would probably charge $600-700 per table. (Not sure what kind of wood, style of table, etc.)

Becky...™s brother-in-law, who is a finish carpenter, is also a potential resource.
Monkey: Becky will look into this.

Timing issues were raised. While it...™s technically feasible to build our own dining room tables, it probably isn...™t realistic given that we need tables as soon as the CH is built.

Low bid: We will do this ourselves.
High bid: Custom-made craftsman-built tables.
...Just-right... bid?: Ordinary store-bought tables from catalog or store, or perhaps this other option

Want lightweight tables so we can move them easily.
What surface do we want for the tabletops? Laminate versus wood top vs Legos.
Leg discussion: We think we want the table legs to be in a different place from Sunward...™s table legs. Do we want them to be inset on the long sides, or do we want pedestal/trestle legs?
Much discussion ensued about the 32... wide tables ... are they wide enough? Sunward...™s tables are 24... x 60... (usually they eat with two tables back to back, so 48... x 60...).
Are they long enough? We are expecting to be able to seat 8 people per table.

Office Rent-

Amy gathered the information that we needed in regard to rental rates.

Monkey-Melissa will talk to Amy about getting information by next Wednesday.

Monkey-[[Rod]] will talk to elph about ensuring that the office survey get

Room Check-in

Exercise room (Becky)- universal weight machine, tread mill, exercise bike, yoga mat were the top priorities. Becky is concerned about the space issue. She believes that we will get most things by donation.

Monkey-Becky will contact lisa and sara about bringing their...™s from outwest.

Kid...™s Room-
Melissa- Tables and Chairs-she will give information soon.
She emailed jeff and keith about pricing for a loft and they have not yet gotten back to her. Dale says that we can get the wood for probably around $200. She reports that the supplemental toy budget will be $500.

Game Room-

[[Elph]] has the numbers for the game room.

Laundry Room-

Discussion about if we need a survey to get household information...[[Jenny]] hoped that we did not need to do the survey...group agrees it will be fine with what was spec...™d.

Dining Room-

Discussion about plates-we will get information and pictures so that we can decide soon.
Monkey-Melissa will get pricing information.

Sitting Room-

On the next construction agenda.
