Review Monkeys:
[[Rod]] review common house discussions/agreements from past. Advice gleaned from cohousing-L. Notes from 3 day common house programming. He has all the info in PDF form. Should we have copies?
TASK: Put on website, make a few hard copies
Monkey: Ted make non-electonic notes electonic, give to [[Rod]]
Monkey: Cmtee to read all the notes so we are familar with what community wants

Dale's Monkey: There is NO scope for CH. We get whatever we can for $350k. Rest comes out of GO's portion of the contingency fund.
Discussion about the "no scope" issue. Scope for common house, but not what's in the 350k section. They will come back to us with a proposal, and we decide what to keep. Community has decided to take $150k out of CF to bring CH up to $500k. April 1st we should have the bids in.

JD Info
The appliances are in the CH plan.

Reports from room assignments:

Laundry: [[Jenny]] was not here to deliver update.

Kitchen: Amy and Mel
Kirk was already getting bids. They talked with Roberta from Sunward to get info about Sunward's. Big George's major supplier for Sunward, had Phoenix install. Mel has relationship with Big George's. [[Rod]] - contact will give us discount even if we buy individually. Break on installation (or possibly free on some items).
They also went through Sunward to identify major items. Sunward stuff donated for the most part. Looking into discount places. Corwell could be an option because of durability. Kirk is specing the cabinets as well. Trying to take Katie's recommendations and adjust for what's available here.

Possible survey to get donation information. What people have vs what GO needs. Hard to say no to some people and yes to others.

Dining Room: Melissa, Ted. went through cohousing-l, what katie spec'd was custom built tables. Called 3 places rest. supply not alot of options. Place in toledo used, but very large selection. Price ranges for 30x6ft $60-$90. 15 styles of chairs $8-$10, $25-$30 high end. From rest. supply stackable chairs $26.18...round back stackable $28.77 ea. something from L - they designed and built their own. Some bought from Ikia. Ted - knows furniture maker he will talk to legs in middle 2.8x6.6
Questions: do they need to match? Only in terms of being able to stack them. If we have a mixture, slows down stacking. Discussion that variety of designs might look better and less institutional. Suggestions that we could have same style, but different colors.
Process question: what do we do when people have all these different ideas? How are we going to decide? Point person gathers up all the info/comments, comes up with pros and cons, what it all means, comes back and recomend. Maybe have 1 meeting for each room to discuss. The entire group doesn't need to here all the details (where to get discounted products), just what it's going to cost. This speeds up process, especially when time is a factor.
Suggestion: some people might only care about certain rooms (ie kids), focus on a specific room so those who care can come.
Some rooms will be easy, not constrained, others more critical. Suggestion that we prioritize rooms.

People on point should collect info.
Theme Day sounds good

Media: Amy
At least 1 couch, open racking so both front and back accessable, guide for adding other stuff, guide posted for how it should be wired, universal remote.

Sitting Room: Laura and Ted
online research, questions came up about styles, fabrics, what will be best. Question: can we come up with a checklist of desired furniture. New/used/ budget? Will be easier to get numbers after we get the CH bids so we know how much money. Also need to know colors, what kind of feel for the room?

Comment: Hearing let's prioritize which rooms, also input on style for room.

Ted, deduct alternate - not build the fireplace so will research how much that would save (leave the space for it in the future)

Kid Room: Melissa
researched what was in the programming, how home schoolers want to use, sunward says whatever makes a good home school makes a good kid room. Often furnished from used items, donated toys. Comment: can we make a 'no happy meal toy' rule . Spec'd built in shelves. Don't have to be, but very good to have. sunward has evolved over time. Good idea for kids rooms. any ideas for minumim, mid, and blowout list? Starting. Orginal plan had loft, not sure it's still in there. Maybe better built by us after

task: putting together 3 level list of kids room requirements - Melissa. Seed questions in surveying cmty

Exercise Room: Becky
Becky sent out email looking for donation. Lisa from Orgon has a great treadmill, some people have weights. Some comments from GO that it will be better to have good equiment instead of junk. Becky talked to Play It Again Sports, they're willing to keep an eye out for bargains in various classes of equipment. Specifically talked about treadmill, weight bench, stairstepper, bike, elliptical rider. Universal machines? Next step: survey GO to see what people might be interested in. Might be hard to get agreemens. Versital equipment. Mat with ability to hang, yogo space, etc.

[[Elph]]
pool table $600, however large installation fee for balancing important not to move. pingpoll $200, fooseball $200-$300 used. Dart (only if peg end) Melissa suggested looking into tables that can be converted multi-use. Suggestion: Get storage for equipment racks for cues/paddles/balls, etc. Video games? probably more for the media room.
Danny will take on bathrooms
