CH Committee Meeting - Jan 14, 2015

Decisions: Repair the dryer.

Monkeys:
- Ted is working on blinds for the Game Room
- Ted is working on getting a plumber to come in and tighten both toilets
down
- Elph to ask Jim to call repair
- Elph to ask Kathy to convene next meeting, Jan 24th 10 am.

Agenda:
- Proposal to repair currently broken dryer
Elph: It seems to me that there may be a 3rd way on this. We could go ahead
and have it repaired for $350. This would "likely" get us through until the
TS common house is working. At that point we could re-evaluate usage. It
would also get us closer to the actual reserve fund date. And it is
significantly cheaper than replacement. This would address concerns on
multiple levels.

-: Repairing it now seems to make the most sense. But concerned about the
feelings people might have about spending money on something they don't use.
-: It does seem there are strong feelings also for having the resources
that folks expect to be available and functioning.
-:There is something demoralizing about having equipment that is not
working.

Agreed. Repair the dryer.

We'll need someone to call and schedule the repair and then someone to meet
the repair person.
Ask Jim if he can schedule the repair and, unless he wants to, have him ask
for someone to meet the repair person once there is a repair date.
(Can we ask the repair people: Does having the dryers on top cause any
higher incident of repairs?)

Elph will be out for the next meeting, Sat the 24th, 10 am. Perhaps Kathy
can call the meeting?
