Gail and Jim celebrating 50th anniversary, and want to do something
for the community. They have talked to Heather about commisioning a
piece of art for the Common House. Gail came to discuss possible
locations. We all love Heather's work and heartily agree to this
generous donation! We trust Heather and Gail and Jim to come up with
a location.



Dress Up Clothes
Patti came to ask about the bag of dress up clothes that ended up in
the laundry room. She didn't know if they were to be disposed of or
washed or what. We all decided that since they are very popular with
the kids, we should just wash them and put them back in the play room.


Check-Ins
Rachel- still working on getting estimates for cleaning services
Nancy - doesn't have a printer, so if someone else will make the
signs, she will take them to kinkos.

Becky - we will call and have some lock companies come out and talk
about options. The ideal seems to be locks that can be set on timers
and automatically lock at night - and every time someone leaves at
night. We realize this is probably very expensive, but need to get
numbers to have the conversation with the community.



Usage Policy
We are updating the usage policy to reflect that there is value in
this building. Our members contribute towards the upkeep and
improvements of the Common House. The change in the policy that we
are going to make will only effect events/groups that are money
making in nature and the person/group making the money is not a
member of Great Oak.


Coming to community because we know people don't always read emails.

MISC
Guest room fee. We want to raise the fee to 10/night and think that
the time to do this would be at the start of the next budget season.

Rachel will change the code to the existing locks after the next
community meeting. She will announce new code and also provide it to
every household in their cubby.


Nancy asked about the slip cover. It really doesn't fit well.
