8/11/12 CH meeting

TS Share
We've been talking in CH meetings this summer about wanting to bring what TS pays into better alignment with how much they actually use it. Becky crafted the first draft, and we are editing it during the meeting. She will email final draft to Heather, she will print out copies for the 8/20 meeting and Jim will present.

The first draft did go out on the CH list, and we've had a few comments we will discuss as well.

Our original idea is to lower to $200/month (2400/year). One of the suggestions we've had over email is that we give them an option. Free if they stop using our laundry, $200 if they want to keep using it.

Our primary reason for wanting to lower fees is goodwill. If we offer the option of charging for laundry, it really puts them in a bind - will they want to subsidize just a few families?

Question: Do we need to keep charging all? Yes, there is a cost to having more people use the building.

Heather will email Kathy to find out how much is currently in the CH rollover fund. Check with Kathy about 1 or 2 funds, and how much is in them.

Exercise equipment.
Survey says - elliptical! There is money in the reserve for replacement, we can buy in 2013 (this year if we find one cheaper)

Big Wedding
Jillian and Elph are having a big wedding in 2013. They are signing out most of the CH, and wanted to know if they need to do anything else. Just the regular stuff. Guests park on Little Lake dr, Reminding member as it is getting close, clean up after, recognize that folks will still be doing laundry/getting mail and playing in kid room.

This brought up the fact that the dining room and hallways really need to be repainted. We are going to schedule that for the spring 2013 workdays.


Dining Room Tables. We've gotten good feedback from F&L about going ahead with the tables. Talked with elph. He's ordered in the herman miller tables for zingermans, He and Ted are going to go look and make sure they will meet our needs. He is also talking with a member at Maker Works about custom made tables. He will get back to us in a few weeks.

On Line Reservation System
Still waiting on Debbi to implement it.

Kitchen remodel.
We need to bring back all the notes from the meetings we had years ago, get with meals, and figure out what we have enough money to do.

Budget:
We need to finalize numbers for first draft at next meeting.
