Minutes:

CH meeting 2/11/12
Present: Rachel, Heather, Julie, Becky, Helen

We had no set agenda today, so we just discussed what's been going on.

*Discussed some minor CH cleaning issues, and are addressing them.

*Steering would like someone from CH to sub for Heather at the next meeting March 4, 5pm. Becky will either go or send an update.

*Julie wanted to know who the new GO liaison to TS was. It is Gayle.

*We talked about the fireplace thermostat, and how it still seems to confuse people. Willie found one that is basically a timer. Heather will coordinate with Adi, and Becky will order if needed. POST MTG NOTE: Adi is going to research to see if it will work with our system, and let us know after he gets back from India.

*Helen came to discuss a lockup issue
Helen locks up Mon, Wed, Thur. About 10:30 on Wednesday night, Helen noticed a car parked by the barricades on west side. Then, she noticed someone in the exercise room. She was not comfortable checking the outside exercise room door because someone was there. Car didn't leave until 11:43. There was someone in the car for at least part of the time. Person in exercise room was gone by then, and Helen was able to lock the door. But the question is, is it OK to go into the exercise room if someone is there using it?

Yes, it is. But only if you are comfortable doing so. If anything seems suspicious, don't. Get help from someone else. We think it likely that the 2 events were not related - someone using the free wifi from their car, and someone else doing a late night workout. Seems unlikely someone would drive here from outside the community in order to workout. However, is anyone sees unusual activity, remember this is our CH. If you are comfortable, you can ask the person directly who they are and who they are visiting. If not, just let us know.

*Little cupboard by the small sink in dining room is getting way too full.Heather is going to take the cup lids leftover from Zingermanns to Divya's school for craft projects. We pointed out that we clean out the cupboard 2 times per year during the community work days. We will also email the 2 kitchen cleaners to try and keep it more organized in between.

*Vacuum issue
The orange vacuum is not producing enough suction. And the hoses have long been kept in place with tape. This is an older one, and it is pretty beat up. We are going to dispose of it (any suggestions?). This means that we will no longer have a community vacuum that people can use in their own homes. The remaining vacuums still work, and are to stay in the CH. Becky emailed the community during the meeting about this change.
