Update from Touchstone
They are not going to have Sunday Brunches during the month of September. As of right now, they are still assuming they will rent the office and share the CH for next year, but no decisions have been made. We asked both Julie and MaryAnn to begin the discussion on their end and let us know before we finalize the budget for next year (mid November)

Carpet Update
Katie brought in the samples from BGreen for natural floorings for the CH as another bid. The wood/bamboo/cork are all much more expensive. The carpet too. But we talked about how it might be nice to put a natural wool carpet in the kids room. We really love the idea of green products, but we are so limited by what was in the Reserve. Commenced a brainstorm, go around:
comments - If we try to go green, since it is really expensive would we have to backtrack, only do a few rooms, and go back to the community? Preference that it is too expensive, would like to have the same carpet throughout. Liked the samples, but not confident the cork would hold up.
* If we wanted to go green, no question we would have to go back to the community and get the ok if we go over what was already approved. None of us really want to do this.
*The place we need better carpet is the kids room. The sitting room we want to be the prettiest. Heart says do it right, but head says the community is expecting a full job and we simply can't spend the extra money on this. Cork vs bamboo - in personal house like the cork, but concerned about having to refinish in 5 years.
*Cork is probably better for sound than wood/bamboo.
*Really hard, we are already going over what was in the reserve. Being pregnant, she doesn't want to sit in a kid's room while carpet is off-gasing. Kid's room seems so much more important to be environmentally friendly . Would be happy to put in cheaper carpet elsewhere in order to put the wool in the kids room. We could do it as a test. Also love to put in cork. Would rather see us hold off somehow.
*Not sure what the tone in our community is about quality and environmental impact of things. Cork looks really nice, but concerned about the maintannce and the ability to handle dings and such.
* If my house, wait longer until we could afford the better stuff.
* If we decide to upgrade the kids room, could we just do the front part? the back is just carpet laid on top of the marmoleum.
*many would be willing to do just the front part of the kids room with wool, provided we can still come in $ wise with what the community approved.
*we all really like the idea behind natural product in the kids room since kids tend to be directly on the floor and are still developing.
Decision: Becky will go back to Lowes and see if we can lower prices a bit more in order to do just the front part of the kids room in wool. Katie will work with BeGreen to get more final pricing and hopefully discounts. If we can make this work money wise, we will.
Community Work Days
October 1st and Oct 22 work days. That's the goal for the hardwood/bamboo in the game room
Media Room
Heather will honcho getting together people to solve the media room problem. Instructions and type of service.
On line sign up
We ran out of time, but tasked the committee members with checking out the sample Adi made, and making notes..
How far into the future can people do recurring events?
