Floor Update
Rachel had the installer from Lowe's come out and do detailed
measurements. He also gave his personal opinions on flooring for the
various rooms.

Game room -He doesn't like cork because it is very expensive, and
chips or dings easily. He suggests just a plain old hardwood. We are
not as concerned about the dinging/denting because of the nature of
that use that room gets. If we go with hardwood, we are pretty sure
we would need a subfloor.

Cork can just go on the concrete with a moisture barrier visquine.
Strong feeling that we have the ability to do the work ourselves, but
not sure if we can get the time commitment from people.

We all realize that this room will be a great deal louder with either
cork or hardwood and will plan to add some fabric/soundproofing. Also
talked about potentially getting an area rug that can be rolled up.

Bottom line, a group of us need to go look at the products available,
and try to balance the cost with the needs of the room.

For the Media and Kids room, there was a type of carpet he highly
recommended, but I didn't get the name yet from Rachel. We will look
into it. The carpet tiles he said are really designed for very high
traffic areas, and are not very soft.

For the Sitting and Guest room, a higher quality carpet. Really good
padding throughout any room that we choose to do with carpet.

Just a reminder to folks reading the minutes - we are getting pricing
for all the rooms, but we will only have enough at this time to do a
limited number. The number one priority is the Game room. After
that, it is a toss-up between Sitting/Play/Media. It will come down
to what types of flooring we chose and how far the money goes.

Next Steps: Rachel and a group from the committee will go to Lowe's
and start getting quotes on the various types of flooring.

If anyone in the community knows now that they would commit time to
laying either hardwood or cork, please contact Becky.nator

LAMINATOR
Elph purchased a laminating machine for the CH. It is currently
living at Becky's. Today we laminated instructions for the Hobart -
Thanks to Mary for typing them up! New signs will be coming soon.
We also laminated a "Private Meeting" sign for the Sitting Room.
Please use a dry erase marker to indicate which meeting so folks are
not confused.

IKEA TRIP UPDATE
Katie and Becky went to IKEA to get the new Kids room furniture and
Sitting room cushion. Becky will look at the financial reports to
check how much improvements money we have left in the budget. There
has been enough positive feedback on the couch, that we are thinking a
larger one in the same style for the media room. This might have to
be budgeted for next year, but we will check.

MISC

Small signs by thermostats - you may make adjustments to temperature,
but no more than 72 in the winter, and no cooler than 75 in the summer.

Heather will check with Adi about what he has already researched for
the online reservation system. Alex was assigned that job, but he has
left.

Julie might be taking over as CH chair from TS. Julie thinks things
are going better overall.
